My last post was almost 5 months ago, where the heck did the time go?
The shop has been keeping me busy, this year is shaping up to be a bit better than last. Thankfully my customers are a patient lot overall.
I found a very old slab of charred heavy hardwood that has been gathering dust for more than 30 years. I finally decided to cut into it to see what it was. Turns out to be some Brazilian Kingwood from Brazil. Far more rare than ebony, it is also harder and heavier. I decided to make a few Sharps pistolgrips with it to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise!
