Here is a small sample of the ebony blanks I offer. I keep several hundred in inventory,
to insure a supply of dry, stable material. Ebony is extremly dense and it takes quite awhile to season before I consider
it usable.
These have been in the shop over 5 years, and about as stable as they are likely
to get.
Blocks average no less than 1 3/4 inches square, and 3 1/4 inches in length.
With careful use, you may get 2 forearm tips from one block.
These sell for 15. each plus 5. shipping to lower 48 states.
I also offer slabs for knife handles and 1911 grips, 20. per set plus 5. shipping

It would be hard to find a better accent for a classic rifle than an Ebony tip.
A word on handling ebony, it is wise not to leave raw, unfinished ebony in harsh
sunlight. AFTER finishing, OK.
If you should find minor cracks (checks) in ebony, it is easily and invisibly repaired
by Super Glue (cyanoacrylate)
When I attach Ebony tips, I use 2 - 1/4 inch dowels and glue with Titebond type 2 glue, clamped
for no less than 24 hours.
This method is well proven over the years.
I do not use epoxy or "gorilla glue" (polyurethane) for this application, although
I am sure others have.
