ALL of my stocks are 90% inlet and profiled.

If you are not sure what that means, please check this page out -
How to fit and finish a gunstock
This will give you a general idea what is involved.

Treebone stocks are NOT 'drop in fit', requiring skill and patience to complete. I would never tell anyone otherwise.

If you want the job done for you, I will try to refer you to someone that can help.

This price list applys to stocks that I pre-cut ahead of time, they are popular patterns that have been good sellers in the past, and I try to keep a good selection on hand, please understand that inventory varies, and it is impossible for me to keep all combinations on hand at all times. Please call for current availability.

The prices are generic, a straight grip shotgun butt for a Rolling block is going to be somewhat less expensive than a straightgrip stock for a sidelock Sharps, which requires much more intricate machining.

Stocks that are custom cut to your order will be priced accordingly (If the stocks I have in inventory will not work for you, and I cut your order individually, it is CUSTOM, and precut pricing does not apply)

Some of the dry stock blanks you can select from are, Thinshell walnut (French and English), Maples, Western Walnuts, Bastogne, Screwbean Mesquite and the occasional imported exotic. Laminates are available on special order.

Since most all of my blanks are rough cut, and 20 to 30 years old (sometimes older) please do not expect pictures, my specialty is providing well cut stocks, and I do not take the time to prepare the blanks for photography. I plane the surface of the stock blank before carving to ensure the wood meets grade, but it takes a real pro to accurately photograph unfinished wood, and brother, that ain't me.
You can get photos if it is an absolute must, but expect to pay for it.

As you might expect, most of my work is on a custom basis, please call and I will quote a price for the job.

It is very helpful if you think the project through before you call, and know what you want, that means correctly identifying your action, the size of the barrel, what modifications that will effect wood to metal fit.
Since I do all the work myself, time is at a premium for me.

I will be happy to discuss the project with you, but it is appreciated if you have done some homework before calling.

Standard grade Walnut-
Sorry, No longer available. I have had little luck finding a good supply of what I consider good quality walnut in this grade. What is available is barely suitable for lumber, much less gunstocks. This is the primary reason that major gun makers offer synthetic, laminate or other "hardwoods" such as birch, on base model guns.

Select Standard grade Walnut- I used to call this grade Semi-Fancy, but I think it was misunderstood. It is not Fancy. It covers those blanks that are more than straight grain unfigured wood. They may have a very desireable grainflow, or a moderate amount of reflective figuring.
They are too good to call standard, but not quite in the next rung up.
Straight grip butt and forearm-                     150.00
     Pistolgrip butt and forearm-                          200.00
     Shadowline cheekrest, (when available
     on the pattern)                                   add-50.00

Fancy grade Walnut-

This is the basic grade where wood starts to show moderate figuring, such as good color, possibly some fiddle back, or other quality distinguishing it from plain wood.
Usually this grade will have at least 25% coverage with fiddle or color variations.
This is a good grade to choose if checkering or other bells and whistles are not planned.
Straight grip butt and forearm-                       250.00
     Pistolgrip butt and forearm-                            300.00
     Shadowline cheekrest (when available on
     pattern)                                                      add  50.00

Extra Fancy grade Walnut -
Very good color and
figure.  No less than 50% figure.  Not many blanks fit
this category, and they are priced accordingly.
As a rule of thumb, a stock set in this grade will range from 500. and up, depending on the complexity of the pattern and what type of wood you want.

Special Select grade Walnut-  Want something really different? Call and discuss.
